Salvatorian Collaborators

SalvatoriansOur idea is that this new group will meet once a month for about an hour followed by a time of coffee and fellowship, on the last Tuesday of every month, after Mass at 6:30 p.m.  ALL are welcome.

After doing some research into what other Salvatorian Collaborator groups around the world are doing, we see the OLMC group as having four areas of focus:

One: To give prayerful support to our Salvatorian priests in Canada and worldwide; to pray for new vocations to the Salvatorian community; and to pray for each other.

Two: To explore together the history and charism of the Salvatorians, and to also study the beautiful spiritual teachings of its founder, Fr. Francis Jordan.

Three: To promote and support the missionary endeavours of Salvatorians around the world, and participate in “humanitarian service” in our own community.

Four: To deepen and grow in our faith, through book discussions, guest speakers, movies, hikes, retreats, special projects, and other activities.

We’d love to see you there. Join us in building something new and exciting in our parish.      Thank you.

Paula’s Street People

I am once again asking for donations for my street people, white socks, t-shirts and underwear.

Also gift certificates to Tim Hortons, McDonalds and Subway, these are not only important because they get a meal, they are also important because it gives them an opportunity to go somewhere warm and get out of the cold.  This year I have started collecting bottles, if anyone wishes to donate their bottles you can drop them off at the depot on Prospect Rd under Paula Yanch-street people or call and we will pick them up.

Thank You,

Paula Yanch 852-2568

RCIA  ( The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults), is a journey of faith through which the Church prepares persons who are interested in becoming full members of the Catholic Church.  It is a journey – through stages of inquiry, prayer, instruction and discussion.

-RCIA is the preparation for baptism for an adult who has never been baptized, and may now feel a call to conversion to a deeper relationship with God through a supportive Catholic community.

-It is an opportunity for someone, baptized in another Christian denomination, who may be interested in learning more about the teachings and Sacramental life of the Church, with the

possibility of becoming a Catholic.

– It is a period of preparation for someone, baptized Catholic as a child, who may or may not have received First Communion, but who has not celebrated Confirmation to become a fully initiated member of the Church.
